Major Renovation with Excellent Co-ordination with Trades

We added a 1400 sq ft addition to the cottage and rebuilt the original 768 sq ft cottage to become an open concept great room, eat-in area and kitchen. They added 3 new bathrooms, 3 bedrooms , game room and den. Cam’s crew showed up everyday at 7 am and worked until 3:30-4 pm …. Fridays they would leave by 2 pm. Their work ethic was incredible. Cam handled the co-ordination of trades, all billing would then go from the trade to Cam where he would apply a tithe for his business. It was a time and material arrangement so no fixed contract, you pay up at the end of every week. We paid top dollar for the trades but that kept us first in line for getting the work done. Hired Matt’s company for the first time to trench our new electrical service and also replace our old 80′ 3rd septic pipe from the cottage to the septic tank. It involved crossing our driveway through a concrete tunnel to protect the PVC pipe. Matt showed up exactly when he said he would, then his crew also showed up the morning they were supposed to and worked non-stop until they finished. Great job and hard-working, friendly crew. Despite the weather they climbed up the trees and safely removed and lowered the branches to the ground . His crew are a very youthful and fit group of fellows . Another year, another great job

Kahshe Boat Works has been taking car of our 30-year old Larson for the last few years. They pick it up at the dock in October and put it back in the water in the spring. When we arrived last weekend it was in the water at our dock. Perfectly clean, engine strong and runs as good as new and everything works including the gauges. Before Kahshe, we were going to get rid of the boat, but apparently there are a few good years left in it!

Please be aware however that our volunteers may not always get signs up in time or at all or change them, when a fire ban is put in effect or changed. Significant fines and other consequences can result from any breach of a fire ban, and it is still your responsibility to be aware of the actual status of fire bans, even when there are no signs up.
