Why Get Involved?
As a cottage owner, what’s important to you?
Perhaps it’s:
- Safety for your family on the roads and on the lakes?
- The Environment? Preserving the natural beauty of Loon and Turtle Lakes for your family and future generations?
- Neighbours reaching out to help neighbours, creating a spirit of friendliness and
making our lakes a great place to spend time at? - Enhancing your investment by knowing what’s happening around you and influencing future regional development and services?
If any of these ideas (or others) are of particular interest to you, there’s your reason to get involved! Right now, we need more help on the Environment file and are looking for two, additional persons to head up the Geese Control and Water Algae/Weed Control efforts. We also are looking for people to take the lead on possible community events like a photo contest, boat parade, art on the dock, food bank drive and… (you get the idea!). A list of events that are run by other cottage associations is included in our member’s survey which can be found at this link.
I would encourage cottagers of all ages to get involved, you won’t be disappointed! Contact me today with your ideas.
